Four powerful ways to make your event more neuro-inclusive

Navigating an event can be exhausting for neurodiverse delegates- BCD M&E has put together some dos and don’ts to help planners channel meaningful inclusivity.

Although up to 40% of people are neurodivergent in some form, according to experts, many events continue to be spaces that are hostile to their needs.

An onslaught of written information, sound, light and noise can be stressful, while some people find it harder to focus on certain types of content.

Neurodivergent conditions include ADHD, autism, dyscalculia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, epilepsy, hyperlexia, OCD, Tourette’s, heightened or muted sensory processing and some symptoms of Long COVID.
